Charlotte – Marie “Mo” Ferrell Newell, 63, passed away July 2, 2014 at home. She was born in Charlotte NC on July 1, 1951 to the late R.J. and Frances Howie Ferrell. She was retired from Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools.
Marie is survived by her daughter Michele Newell Kippes of Belmont NC; son in law Joe Kippes of York SC; son Tim Newell and wife Christie of Monroe NC; grandchildren Haley Newell, Jordan Newell, Avery Kippes, Cameron Newell and Sydney Kippes; sister Louise Freeman and husband Bobby of Gastonia NC; brother Jack Ferrell of Lincolnton NC; special friend to the family “daughter” Julie Ferguson Gaddy.

A memorial service will be held 10:30am Thursday July 10, 2014 at the Steele Creek Presbyterian Church 7407 Steele Creek Rd, Charlotte, NC 28217. Family will receive friends following the service.

Burial will be private.
