Barron Lee Walker, 70, passed away October4, 2014 at home surrounded by his family. He was born August 9, 1944 to the late Frank and Decimer Walker.
Barron was an exceptionally loving Dad “Pop”, paw paw, brother, friend and sweetheart. He could make even a stranger adore him with his quick wit, kind heart and giving soul. He loved his family more than life itself and offered many moments of laughter in between the sadness.
He was preceded in death by his parents, six siblings and son Tim Walker.
Barron is survived by his son Todd Walker of Charlotte and daughter Robin Crisp and husband Jeff of Kings Mountain; the “3B’s” sisters Betty Black, Brenda “Skin” Garrett and sweetheart of 26 years Betty Waldrop; sister Jean Froneberger and husband Don of Virginia Beach; brother Joe Walker; his first love Emily Walker Crenshaw; step children Darren Waldrop, Debbie Waldrop and Angela Davis; grandchildren Alec Barrett, Jeffrey Crisp, Colby Crisp, Trevor Walker and Krislyn Holland; best friend Dan Whetstine; many nieces and nephews.
Family will receive friends Tuesday from 6-8 pm at A Simple Service, 451 Hospital Drive Gastonia NC 28054
