Gastonia – Geraldine Jenkins Ward, 75, passed away January 22, 2016 at home. She was born in Newport TN on April 25, 1940 to the late Walden and Margaret Jenkins and is also preceded in death by her sisters Eunaviv, Ruby, Dolly and Martha; favorite dog Hutch; favorite cat Mikey.
Geraldine worked in the textile industry at Burlington Industries and American Efird in Gaston County and was a member of First Freewill Baptist Church in Clover.
She is survived by her son Cledious Allen Busler and his wife Karen; granddaughter Cristy Cummings and her husband Chris; grandson Derek Busler and his wife Erin; sisters Jo Ann and Lorene; former husband and close friend David Ward; many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be 11 am Saturday at the First Freewill Baptist Church, 308 Valley Ave. Clover SC 29710. Rev. Marvin Carson Sr. officiating.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be given to First Freewill Baptist Church.
