Lincolnton - Kevin Lee Kales, 62, passed away suddenly at home on August 25, 2017. He was born in Binghamton, NY on August 3, 1955 to the late Leo F. Kales and Mary Agnes Flaherty. Kevin lived most of his life in Charlotte. He received his Bachelor’s degree from Texas University, which began his career in business management. His career and his family led him to Charlotte, NC where he planted his roots. He built a life full of family and friends, and will be remembered for his love of travelling, history, and music.
Kevin is survived by former wife and mother of his children MaryAnn Duran; sons Lee Kales, John Duran, and Larry Duran; daughter Mary Anna Kales. Services will be held Saturday September 9th, 2017 at St. John Neumann Catholic Church, 8451 Idlewild Road Charlotte, NC 28227. Mass will be held at 9am, with a small gathering from 10am-11am.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to charity of donor’s choice.
