Dad, The Man, The Myth, The Legend
Growing up, we were dirt poor. That didn't seem to matter much though, we always seemed to have more than we actually needed. We just found things to do that didn't actually cost much to do.
Dad was also a strict disciplinarian. You did what you were told the first time or you faced the consequences. You weren't going to be told a second time.
He was strict. He was tough. He was unyielding. But, he could also be a gentle, patient, and loving man. I wouldn't change a thing about the way I was raised. That strictness, that discipline, and that toughness was what made me the man I am today and I think I turned out OK. So Dad, thank you for being the father I needed. I love you and will miss you until the day I die. Well done Dad, well done!
