Wayne Laye, 60, passed away on Jan. 18, 2018, at Carolinas Medical Center.

Jerry was born on Oct. 18, 1957, to the late Charlie Laye and Minnie Mabel.

Jerry is survived by his son, Jason Laye and wife Diane of Lowell; daughter, Jennifer Morton and husband Ray of Lowell; six grandchildren; brothers, Charlie Laye Jr. wife Marie, Randy Laye girlfriend Danette Scism, Donaly Laye, all of Kings Mountain.

In addition to his parents, he was preceed in death by stepmother, Katheen Morgan and sister Bobbie Sigmon.

Private visitation for the family will be 3 p.m. Friday, Jan. 26, 2018, at A Simple Service facility.
