Obituary of Edith A Gellner

Edith Ann Gellner, RN of Charlotte, NC passed away in the early morning hours of Friday, May 18, 2018. She was 81.
Born Edith Ann Lobody in Lancaster, Pennsylvania to parents Plato George Lobody and Mary Ann Lobody, RN, Edith attended and graduated from St. Joseph Hospital School of Nursing in Lancaster, PA. She had a long career helping and caring for others working as a registered nurse from 1958 until retiring in 2001, with a few breaks in between. She had strong friendships with her older sister Lieutenant Colonel Mary Elizabeth Lobody, RN and her best friend Sally Lynn Gilbertson, RN both of whom preceded her in death by 22 years and 9 years respectively.
Survivors of Edith include her six sons Michael, David, Joseph, Raymond, Randy and Thomas, her daughters-in-law Lesa and Angela, many grandchildren and great-grandchildren as well as her feline companion Charlotte.
As per her wishes other than a celebration of life event at a future date to be determined, no viewing or funeral service is planned for her.
