Obituary for Daniel Scott Greeno

Daniel Scott Greeno, age 54, went to be with our Lord, surrounded by
his family, on Tuesday, June 19, 2018, at Caromont Regional Medical
Center in Gastonia, after a long battle with cancer. He was born
December 8, 1963, in Marion, Indiana, to Leon and Carol (Mencer)
Greeno. He was a 1982 graduate of East Mecklenburg High School in
Charlotte, NC. He married his high school sweetheart, best friend, and
soulmate, Keely, on March 15, 1986, in Scottsdale, Arizona.
He worked alongside his father in the family heating and air
conditioning business, until he moved his family to Riverside,
California where he worked as Lead Foreman at Thermal Cool Inc.
A year after he was diagnosed with cancer, he and his family moved
back to North Carolina to be near his parents and siblings, settling in
Belmont. Dan was a loving and devoted husband, father, son, brother,
and uncle. He loved cruising his boat on the Catawba River. He was a
staple in his community and loved by everyone that met him. He never
complained about his illness, and tried to live life as normal as
possible.
He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Keely (Peacock)
Greeno; daughter, Kendal Greeno; brother, Steve (Bonnie) Greeno;
sister, Sherri (Chris) Sopher; many nieces and nephews, aunts,
uncles, cousins, and a large extended family.
Family, friends, and others whose lives Dan touched are invited to the
Fort Mill Church of the Nazarene, 109 Harris St., Fort Mill, SC 29715,
on Saturday, July 7, 2018 at 11:00 a.m., to Celebrate his life and
share happy memories.
While we have peace and joy in knowing that he has been given
eternal life with our Lord and Savior, and has a new, glorious, pain
free body, he will be missed by all of us left behind on this earth. Until
we meet again, our precious Danny. Husband, father, son, brother,
friend. We love you.
