Steve Crandall Poarch, 65, passed away Sept. 3, 2014, at Caromont Regional Medical Center. He was born in Gaston County on Aug. 1, 1949, to the late Jack and Mary Fields Poarch. Survived by his wife of twenty nine years Lorrie Poarch, son Steve Crandall Poarch Jr., daughter Stephanie Poarch, sisters Roseann Green and Joyce Watkins, Mr. Poarch was preceded in death by his sister Shelby Stroupe A celebration of life will be held 7 p.m. Monday at the Gateway Cowboy Church, 1002 Upper Spencer Mountain Road, Stanley. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to his wife Lorrie, 119 White Farm Rd, Dallas, NC 28034.
