Charlotte – Cecil Lawrence “Larry” James, 65, passed away April 1, 2017 at home. He was born in Mecklenburg County on February 14, 1952. He was preceded in death by his parents Ned and Jean James and brother Ned Russell “Rusty” James II.
Larry was a musician all his life, playing with some very famous acts and serving as a studio musician over his career.
Larry is survived by his brothers Douglas E. James of Annapolis Md. and Robert W. James, Sr. of Stanley NC.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Cinta Johnson for all she did for Larry over the years.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to Calvary Baptist Church, P.O. Box 825, Belmont NC 28012.
A memorial service will be at a later date.
