Gastonia - Mrs. Peggy Johnson passed away on Sunday morning August 13, 2017 at the age of 73.
Peggy was born to parents George and Ruth Sikes on September 4, 1943 in Commerce Ga. She grew up with her sister Johnnie in Georgia, Alaska and Germany but spent most of her life in Gastonia and Charlotte NC. She loved books and education all her life. Her dream was to make a difference in the lives of college students. She enjoyed teaching business classes at Gaston college and retired from her position as human resource director in 2009.
Peggy married Boyd Johnson in 1968 and raised three children Jeff, Karen and Pam. She is survived by her husband Boyd, sister Johnnie, 3 Children, 9 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Family will receive friends Wednesday 6:30-8:30pm at A Simple Service 451 Hospital Dr., Gastonia, NC.
